Dental Implants Are the Gold Standard

Dental implants are a permanent, natural-looking solution for replacing one tooth, several teeth, or an entire arch. The team at Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa emphasizes comfort and efficiency. Many of our implant patients can return to their normal schedules the day after surgery.

The Benefits of Our Dental Implants Can Last a Lifetime

Lifelike Feel

Implants fuse to the bone to replace lost tooth roots. Restorations like implant-supported dentures look and feel more secure than conventional prosthetics.

Jawbone Protection

On their own, bridges and dentures can fill a gap left by missing teeth. However, dental implants are the only treatment that stops jawbone recession following tooth loss.

Unparalleled Longevity

Titanium dental implants are designed to last a lifetime. The Institute for Dental Implant Awareness estimates that 95 to 98% of implants are successful for 40 to 50 years after placement.

The Distinct Advantage Implants Can Bring to Dentures

While regular dentures are effective, they may also slide or slip as you are eating or talking. There is a way that your dentures can remain firmly in the place, though: dental implants, placed by our skillful Tampa dentists. You'll never have to worry about having a functional smile.

A Great Review From a Happy Patient

“His team laid out the implant procedure and accompanying cost for us so we thoroughly understood the process. His team was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly throughout the entire experience, providing the necessary support my wife needed to get through the surgery. The surgery was completed quickly and painlessly, and the postoperative support was wonderful.” — David, 5-Star Review

We Offer Multiple Levels of Sedation to Keep Our Patients Comfortable

Our surgical team is highly trained and fully qualified to administer IV general anesthesia.

We carefully administer sedation to ensure your safety and comfort throughout treatment. Depending on your needs, we can offer light, moderate, or heavy sedation. In some cases, patients can be completely asleep for the entirety of the procedure, potentially waking up with a brand-new smile.

Digital Imaging

Our practice is equipped with all-digital imaging, including a cone-beam computed tomography (CT) scanner to assess the health of your smile and precisely plan your treatment.

Preparatory Procedures

Our surgical team performs tooth extraction, bone grafting, and sinus lifts in-house; we'll monitor your treatment every step of the way.

Implant Placement

Your surgeon will precisely place one or several titanium implants in your jawbone. You'll remain comfortable; we are fully certified to administer all levels of anesthesia.

Healing and Recovery

The implant will take three to six months to fuse with the bone tissue. We'll provide you a temporary restoration to wear during this healing period.

Abutment Placing

Once the implants are fully fused with the jawbone, we'll place abutments, which connect the implants to your prosthetic teeth. Patients typically need four to six weeks for the gum tissue to heal before they can receive their restorations.

Permanent Restoration

Some patients return to one of our offices for their final restorations, while others may visit their primary dentists. Either way, you will receive a lifelike prosthetic that blends seamlessly with your natural teeth, restoring the appearance and function of your smile.
