Dr. Blundell's Featured Surgical Procedures and Treatments
Dental implants are titanium posts that act as artificial tooth roots to support restorations such as dentures, dental bridges, and dental crowns. Implants are surgically placed into the jaw, providing it with the stimulation it needs to remain healthy. Dental implants are the only restorative dentistry procedure that can stop and prevent deterioration of the jaw.
For patients that have extensive jaw deterioration, bone grafting is a maxillofacial surgery that adds density and strength to the jawbone. This allows patients to qualify for dental implants that can help prevent further deterioration.
If you experience dental anxiety or phobia or need a higher level of comfort care, Dr. Blundell is trained in anesthesia and offers sedation dentistry options. Sedation offered by our maxillofacial surgeon at our Tampa, FL, practice includes oral conscious sedation and IV sedation, depending on your needs.
Dr. Blundell understands that cost is a major factor for patients considering their surgery options. He accepts CareCredit®, Compassionate Finance™, and LendingClub®, which allow you to pay in affordable monthly installments.
