Full Arch implants

Full Arch Implants

Missing teeth can make you feel incredibly self-conscious around your friends and family, especially if you're missing an entire arch.

At Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa, we can restore a full arch of missing teeth in just one day using the Full Arch Implants method.

Why are so many patients choosing Full Arch Implants over traditional dentures?

The Benefits of Full Arch Implants Modern Dentistry's Best Restorative Option

Reliable Security

Traditional dentures typically need uncomfortable dental adhesive and natural suction to stay in place. Even though modern dentures are more secure than the prosthetics of the past, they are still prone to slip out of place. Conversely, with the Full Arch Implants method, our oral surgeon can securely attach a high-quality denture to a minimal number of dental implants, which are fused with your jaw. Because they are attached to permanent implants, Full Arch Implant dentures remain in place while you are eating, speaking, and smiling.

Fast Treatment Timeline

If you are missing a full dental arch, you probably want a solution as fast as possible. When you choose Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa for Full Arch Implant treatment, you can have your full mouth of teeth restored in only one appointment. You'll come into either our Land O'LakesValrico, or South Tampa office with no teeth, and you'll leave with a bright, durable, healthy-looking smile.

Life-Changing Results

By delivering new teeth in one day through implant dentistry, we have helped many patients at our practice immediately improve the way they look and the way they feel. Replacing missing teeth can help you eat your favorite foods, enunciate properly, and smile with confidence once again.

Did You Know?

By tilting two of the full arch implants to better secure them in the bone, patients can usually avoid the need to undergo time-consuming bone grafting treatments. Our patients get their new teeth faster and avoid the added cost of bone grafts.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are titanium posts that serve as prosthetic tooth roots. An oral surgeon places implants through the gums and directly into the jawbone. Over time, the biocompatible titanium in the implants naturally fuses with the bone in a process known as osseointegration. Once the fusing process is complete, implants provide all of the support and strength of natural tooth roots.

Dental professionals can use implants to restore any number of missing teeth. When a patient has a full mouth of missing teeth, Dr. Jason Edwards and Thomas Backeris are able to use a minimal number of implants to securely replace all teeth on the arch with the Full Arch Implants method.

Don't Be Ashamed of Missing Teeth It's a Common Concern

Approximately 178 million Americans are missing one or more teeth*According to the American College of Prosthodontists.

Furthermore, the American College of Prosthodontists also estimates that about 40 million people nationwide are currently missing all of their teeth

Who Is a Good Candidate
for Full Arch Implants?

Full Arch Implants free you from the hassles of removable dentures by giving you teeth that stay put, just like natural teeth. These revolutionary implants are even cared for like your original teeth with simple brushing, flossing, and regular dental appointments.

But Full Arch Implants are best used in specific situations and should be weighed against other teeth replacement options. Full Arch Implants  are designed for patients who lack the bone density needed to support traditional implants.

However, Full Arch Implant candidates must still have sufficient bone density in the jaw to support an entire arch of teeth on just four implants; otherwise, the implants will likely fail.

Basic criteria for Full Arch Implants:

  • You have enough bone at the front of the jaw to allow for placement of the longer Full Arch Implants.
  • You lack good bone in the area of your molars, in the back of the jaw.
  • You want immediate load implants.

How Can I Find Out if Full Arch Implants Are Right for Me? Call for a Consultation

A consultation at Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa is really the only way for us to determine the best options in your case.

Your ideal teeth replacement solution will depend on your goals, jawbone structure, age, health, lifestyle, and budget. During the consultation, we can use our sophisticated scanning technology to capture a digital image of your mouth, which will allow us to assess bone density in your jaw. We can then discuss the best tooth replacement options for your case.

Dr. Jason Edwards and Dr. Thomas Backeris offer many options for full teeth replacement, and if Full Arch Implants are not feasible, our doctors can explain which options will work for you and give you the information you need to make an educated choice.

Here is what you can expect on the day of treatment...

Full Arch Implants Surgery Timeline

Using our office's digital x-rays and 3-D cone beam computed tomography scanner, we can quickly create detailed, high-quality scans that visualize your biostructures and bone density.

We then use our intraoral scanner to digitally plan the placement of your implants. This virtual planning allows us to perform dental implant surgery much faster, less invasively, and with expedited healing time.

On the day of your dental implant surgery at our Land O' Lakes, Valrico, or South Tampa office, Dr. Edwards and his team will administer sedation to make your procedure more comfortable. Our team is certified to administer IV sedation, which takes effect quickly.

During your dental implant surgery, Dr. Edwards will create incisions in your gums where the four implant posts will go. He will then place the implants directly in your jawbone and suture the gums back in place.

Denture Placement

After the four dental implants are properly situated and the gums have been sutured, Dr. Edwards will be able to attach your brand new, high-quality denture.

Dental implant surgery is an outpatient procedure, so most patients can go home immediately after treatment. Our dental team will provide detailed post-operative instructions to guide you through a healthy recovery.
